    Mr Akash Sahu was a Research Analyst with the Centre for Southeast Asia and Oceania at Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi. His primary focus is Southeast Asian studies where he closely looks at ASEAN multilateralism and external relations of ASEAN, including India-ASEAN engagements. The Mekong region in Southeast Asia has been of significant interest to his research. He also follows developments in the balance of power, and traditional & non-traditional security in the Indo-Pacific region.

    Some of his work has appeared with publications like South China Morning Post, South Asian Voices, Urbanet, South Asia Journal and Manila Times. Apart from MP-IDSA, he has also written for other think tanks like Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) and Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF). He has completed Masters in Diplomacy, Law and Business (MADLB) from Jindal Global University (JGU). His capstone project during the MADLB program was on Radicalisation in Indonesia, one among his areas of research in MP-IDSA. He had been associated with Centrec for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at JGU.
