Q. 4214 Bus Service Between Dhaka And Kolkata

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-

(a) whether the Government is contemplating to start direct bus service between Kolkata and Dhaka; and

(b) if so, the details thereof?

ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRIMATI PRENEET KAUR)

(a) & (b) A direct passenger bus service between Kolkata and Dhaka was started in 1999 and continues to be in operation till date.
