Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is extending all kinds of aid to flood-hit Sri Lanka; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) Due to floods in parts of Sri Lanka, Government of India immediately responded by sending urgent relief assistance worth $1 million, consisting of dry rations, sugar, pulses, salt and some condiments, Meals Ready to Eat, malted food, blankets, mattresses, bed sheets, water purification kits & tablets etc. The first consignment reached Colombo on 14 January 2011 and the second on 17 January, 2011.
