The Iraqi police authorities said that gunmen have killed five Iraqi security officials in a half-hour shooting spree targeting checkpoints in Shiite-dominated neighborhoods around Baghdad. As US troops leave Iraq by the end of this month, insurgents aim to weaken confidence of the government and exaggerate sectarian tension.1
