According to reports, during a so called ‘two-plus two’ dialogue held between defence and foreign secretary officials between the US and South Korea held in Washington recently, both the sides agreed to strengthen a comprehensive missile defence capability to deal with North Korean nuclear threats. While taking into consideration Pyongyang’s increasing focus on electronic and cyber warfare tactics, Seoul and Washington agreed to establish a consultation channel on cyber security as well. 1 The US militaries are to share intelligence and provide support for an air and missile defence system that South Korea plans to launch in December this year. 2
