1st Virtual MP-IDSA- Instituto do Oriente, Lisbon, Bilateral Dialogue Organised

The Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, in collaboration with the Instituto do Oriente, Lisbon, organised the first Virtual Dialogue between the two institutes on February, 08, 2021.

Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy, Director General, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, and Dr. Nuno Canas Mendes, Director, Instituto do Oriente, Lisbon, delivered the Opening Remarks. Amb. Manish Chauhan, Ambassador of India to Portugal and Amb. Carlos Pereira Marques, Ambassador of Portugal to India, delivered the Special Remarks. The Speakers included Amb. Luís Filipe Castro Mendes, former Ambassador to India and Minister for Culture, Government of Portugal; Shri Sandeep Chakravarty, Joint Secretary, Europe-West Division, MEA, GoI; Dr. Carla Guapo Costa, Professor, School of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP), Lisbon University; Dr. Constantino Xavier, Fellow, Foreign Policy and Security Studies, Centre for Social and Economic Progress, New Delhi; and Col. D.P.K. Pillay (Retd.), Research Fellow, MP-IDSA.
