Nasheed’s return: China too deeply entrenched in the Maldives now

Associate Fellow, IDSA and currently Visiting Professor and Chair (India Studies), Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Dar-es-Salaam, Dr Anand Kumar’s article on the Maldives, titled ‘Nasheed’s return: China too deeply entrenched in the Maldives now’ was published in National Herald on November 09, 2018.

The article analyses the impact of political transition in the Maldives on the ongoing Chinese projects and insists that while both Nasheed and Solih have stated that they would be revisiting Chinese projects, it’s unlikely that any major Chinese project be scrapped.
