Dr. Abhishek Yadav is a Research Analyst at the West Asia Centre, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi. He holds a PhD in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has completed M.Phil. in South Asian Studies and a Master’s in Politics (International Relations) from JNU. His research interests include international migration, West Asian geopolitics and Türkiye’s domestic politics and foreign policy.Prior to joining MP-IDSA, he served as a Consultant at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, and as a Research Associate at the erstwhile India Centre for Migration (ICM), MEA in 2022. He was also a Visiting Fellow in International Relations at Sichuan University, China (2017–2018). Dr. Yadav has academically contributed to reputed journals, including Strategic Analysis, British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Journal of Defence Studies, CBW Magazine: Journal on Chemical and Biological Weapons, and Africa Trends, among others.
