    Commandant M Srivastava is a serving officer of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). He has served onboard ICG ships in various capacities such as Navigating officer, Executive officer and Commanding officer. At Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhi, his key appointments include Jt Director (Personnel), Jt Director(Training) and Director (Coastal Security). On deputation to the Indian Navy, he has served at INS Hansa and National Maritime Foundation.

    The officer represented India at 24th Indian Scientific Research Expedition to Antarctica and was part of specially selected team to initiate scientific studies at Larsemann Hills (site which now hosts the third Indian station Bharati). He has participated in National workshop on Arabian Sea Monsoon Experiment at IISc Bangalore.

    He holds a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science and has done Advance Meteorology course from India Meteorological Department.
