    Educational Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree with a first class in social sciences and allied fields such as public policy, international relations, strategic affairs, development studies, especially focussing on Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir
    • Knowledge of Urdu is mandatory
    • Preference shall be given to candidates who have undertaken research on Pakistan

    Job Description*

    The job profile inter-alia includes:

    • Monitoring and tracking local media, official statements, briefings, and documents and tracking various other developments in PoK.
    • Data collection from Primary and Secondary sources, including internet portals
    • Providing administrative support for organising round tables, workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings under the aegis of the Project.
    • Writing event reports of seminars, round tables, seminars, workshops, etc. held at the Institute under the Project

    Desired Skill-Set

    • Keen interest in analysing current national and international affairs especially focusing on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir
    • Excellent knowledge of Urdu and English language
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to attend to detail
    • Work under strict deadlines
    • Flair for team work

    General Information

    • This post is against a project based vacancy for a sponsored research project. The post is therefore applicable only upto the period the sponsored project continues at MP-IDSA.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend interviews at MP-IDSA, Delhi
    • Certificates in original are to be produced in support of educational and age eligibility at the time of interview.
    • The certificates will be subject to verification/reverification as may be decided by the competent authority, as per prevailing Government guidelines.
    • Education qualification will be calculated as on last date of submission of application.
    • Shortlisted outstation candidates will be paid AC- III tier rail fare on production of tickets, by the shortest route
    • The Institute reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of positions as also fill or not to fill any or all the positions advertised, based on the Institute’s requirements.
    • The Institute reserves the right to cancel recruitment at any stage without assigning any reason.
    • The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
