    To many people Pakistan is a state beyond repair. Its institutions are weak and its Army literally owns the state. But recent events give indications of a possible turnaround and a more stable future. India has very little leverages in shaping a peaceful, stable and friendly Pakistan but its own progress can make Pakistani society, fearful of being left behind, force a change in the state’s policy orientation.
