    Daniel Norfolk is currently a doctoral candidate in International Relations at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva, and is concentrating on the reconfiguration of cross-border networks during conflict. As a Visiting Fellow at IDSA, he will be analyzing the emergent social structures of insurgency in Kashmir, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. Daniel has spent several years in India as both a researcher and consultant for the Canadian government and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). He has published research on India’s foreign policy and engagement with Afghanistan. Daniel has also worked extensively on UN targeted sanctions as part of the Targeted Sanctions Consortium.
