The DPRK’s official KCNA news agency stated that it will "deal unimaginably deadly blows to the US imperialists and the South Korean puppets if they ignite a war1." The North’s warning came even as the UN committee added a number of North Korean individuals and firms to a sanctions blacklist. These included five individuals and firms and two weapons-related items2.
US Secretary of State Clinton, in an interview with NBC's ‘Meet the Press’, reiterated that major powers wanted North Korea to return to negotiations over its nuclear program but added that they would not reward any “half-measures3.”
