  • ISRO Chief G. Madhavan Nair told reporters that a vital sensor on board India’s first unmanned moon mission, Chandrayaan-I, had failed. He however added that the mission had collected the required data and that it was not completely disabled1. The Chandrayaan mission was originally designed to last two years, but due to the failure of the ‘star’ sensor, it is expected to terminate before that time period.
