  • The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India in a report tabled in the parliament on July 10 criticised some of the procurements programmes of the Ministry of Defence.
The CAG pointed out that the contract to acquire laser-guided 155 mm Krasnopol-M rounds worth INR 3.75 million ($77 million) from Russia was done without necessary evaluation.

The report also criticized the decision to induct 40 advanced light helicopters (ALH) worth INR17.47 billion into the Army Aviation Corps1.
