Five hostages rescued in J&K; BSF foils infiltration attempt

  • Security forces on May 11 stormed a house in Sambha district in Jammu region and rescued all the five hostages, including three women, from militants' clutches. The militants, who had sneaked from across the border into Jammu region on May 9, had taken five people hostage after gunning down a couple1.

    Meanwhile, the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of militants from the international border at Ragwal village in the Samba sector on May 9. The militants escaped back to Pakistan following effective retaliatory action2.
